The 24th of January is International Day of Education, a day to celebrate and acknowledge the impact schools and teachers have had on our lives. Working with schools and educators throughout the year, we believe that an education is more than just learning, it’s about growing, it’s about community and it’s about unlocking doors.
We are truly proud of the academies we get to work with and the impact they have had on our community and their students, helping young people find their way in life. We've met some truly passionate and caring minds over the years and we are immensely proud of our work, helping educators improve their online presence and connect with their community. That is why we wanted to encourage you to celebrate International Day of Education in whatever way you can. It can be something small or something big but to get your brains going, we’ve got a few suggestions.
Consider your own education and how it shaped you.
While there are many out there whose school didn’t quite click for, there is always something we enjoyed or helped mould us in our education. Whether that was a specific subject, teacher or project, there is usually something that made a big difference even if you didn’t notice it at the time. Reflecting on your education can be a great exercise and can help you notice things you might not have at the time. Education plays a huge role in the lives of children and while we may not love every class or even most (!), there is almost always something to take away.
Give your children’s teachers a special treat or write a thank you note to a key educator in your life.
Teaching is a deeply rewarding profession and one that we fully enjoy but a little show of appreciation can go a long way. Getting your child’s teacher a card and a gift or giving thanks to a teacher in your life who went above and beyond can be something that can leave a lasting impression and make a world of difference.

Education doesn’t have to be limited to the classroom and in celebrating the impact and importance of education, learning about iconic figures in education can be a great way to honour the importance of education in all of our lives and throughout our lives. We often view education as something that is important at the beginning of our lives but it is crucial throughout our lives to shape our experiences, our beliefs and our views and allow us to better connect and understand each other.
As we mentioned before, we are truly proud of the work we do and the academies and schools we support and the impact we and they have had on our community and their students, helping young people find their way in life. We hope this article has given you some ideas on how to celebrate International Day of Education and better reflect on the impact education has had on your life.
